Chris Froome was seriously injured during practice for the Criterium du Dauphine. A gust of wind blew him off balance and he hit a wall sustaining a broken neck as well as a fractured right femur, elbow and ribs, plus a broken hip. Vowing to "Come back even stronger " He will be out for at least 6 months.
Meanwhile the other major Ineos rider, Geraint Thomas crashed heavily during the Tour of Switzerland. Suffering relatively minor cuts and bruises, he will be fully fit to lead the Team in the Tour de France.
