The 1st race of 2020 in Austria saw  Valtteri Bottas / Mercedes win unchallenged from Charles Leclerc / Ferrari and Lando Norris / Mclaren. Gearbox weakness hampered the Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton was penalised for a collision with Alex Albon  / Red Bull who was trying to take 2nd place at the time. In an incident packed race, Kimi Raikkonen lost a wheel and Sebastian Vettel had another lapse resulting in an unnecessary collision.

Leclerc's climb through the field to 2nd place will not disguise the the lack of speed at Ferrari and they have much work to do.
