Gordon Banks has died aged 81. Goalkeeper of the 1966 England World Cup winning team. Six time winner of the FIFA goalkeeper of the year, earning 73 caps during his career. He will be most remembered for his miraculous save of a shot by Pele in the 1970 Tournament.

He started his professional career at Leicester in 1959, and retired while playing for Stoke .I n the same year he lost his right eye in a car accident.
